Terms & Conditions

Technologies For Youth (TFY) / Technologies For Kids (TFK) — program terms and policies.

1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

TFY does not provide a cash refund when a parent or guardian changes their mind or decides the student will not attend. Subject to class availability, the unused booking value may instead be kept as credit for the student's next term or transferred to another student nominated by the purchaser. If TFY cannot reasonably supply or reschedule a paid service, we will provide the refund or other remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law. See our separate, easy-to-read Refund Policy.

2. Missed Class Policy

A class missed because of a student's absence does not qualify for a cash refund or discount. Any make-up class or alternative arrangement depends on the written benefits and conditions of the student's specific program or membership.

3. Minimum Enrolment Period

The minimum enrolment period is one full term. Once a term has commenced, the full term fee remains payable and is not refunded in cash for a change of mind. Any approved next-term credit or transfer is handled under the Refund Policy. New students joining after the start of a term are charged on a pro-rata basis.

4. Payment Policy

All prices and fees are in Australian dollars (AUD). Parents/guardians are responsible for full payment of program fees prior to class attendance. Failure to make payment may result in withdrawal of the student from the program.

5. Membership Cancellation (TFYA)

Memberships require one month of advance notice for cancellation. An AUD $100 administrative fee applies if the membership lasted less than a year. If a term has started, the full term payment is required.

6. Cancellation & Timetable Changes

We may need to change a timetable, venue or class structure for operational or safety reasons. We will give affected families reasonable notice where practicable. If TFY cancels a paid service that cannot be reasonably rescheduled or supplied, we will provide the remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Damage Fine

If a student damages any robotics, drone or coding kits, the parent/guardian will be required to replace the item, up to a fee of AUD $500.

8. Drop Off & Pick Up Policy

Students are only supervised by our instructors during scheduled class times. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children before and after class, and for drop-off/pick-up directly from the classroom if needed.

9. Photos & Video Consent

Photography or video used for promotional purposes requires separate parent/guardian consent. Choosing not to provide promotional consent will not prevent a child from joining a program. Consent may be withdrawn for future use by contacting us, subject to material already lawfully published.

10. Safety & Medical Emergencies

STEM activities may involve equipment and supervised practical tasks. Families must provide relevant health, allergy and emergency-contact information during enrolment and tell us if it changes. In an urgent situation, TFY may contact emergency services and will take reasonable steps to contact the parent/guardian. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

All personal information is collected and stored in accordance with current privacy legislation. See our Privacy Policy.

Consumer rights: These terms operate alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. See the ACCC consumer guarantees guidance ↗.
