Parent Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about classes, enrolment, equipment, safety and what happens after you enquire.

What ages do you teach?

TFY advertises programs for ages 6–18. Each course page shows its current age range; suitability also depends on the activity and the student's experience.

Does my child need previous experience?

No. Beginner pathways start with foundations. Students with prior experience can be placed into more advanced projects after discussion with the TFY team.

Is equipment included?

Equipment required for the advertised class is provided for use during the session unless the booking information clearly states otherwise.

Can my child try a class before enrolling?

Selected programs at selected venues offer a free, no-obligation trial, subject to timetable and capacity. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically reserve a place.

Can a student join after term begins?

Late entry may be possible if a place remains and the student can join without missing essential safety or foundation content. Any pro-rata fee is confirmed before booking.

How much do programs cost?

Published membership and holiday-program prices appear on their pages. Fees for a specific scheduled class should be confirmed in writing before enrolment, including any equipment, registration or competition costs.

What is TFY's refund policy?

We do not provide cash refunds when a family changes its mind. Subject to availability, the unused booking value may be kept as credit for the student's next term or transferred to another student. Australian Consumer Law rights still apply. Read the separate Refund Policy.

What happens if my child misses a class?

A missed class does not qualify for a cash refund. Make-up arrangements can vary by program or membership. Please rely on the written terms supplied for the specific booking and ask TFY to clarify before payment.

How is child safety handled?

Read our Child Safety & Parent Information page for supervision boundaries, conduct expectations, photography consent, complaints and emergency principles.

Are official projects the same as government accreditation?

No. Our project pages distinguish venue records, named certificates, official participation and published coverage. Recognition of an event does not mean every TFY course is government accredited or funded.

How quickly will TFY reply?

We aim to respond to website enquiries within 1–2 business days. For a time-sensitive class, phone or WhatsApp may be faster.
