Makeblock robot in class
Ages 6–18

Coding & Robotics Program

LevelBeginner to competition
FormatProgressive term program
IncludedRobot kits and class equipment
Student outcomeA working mission robot

One of our core offerings — uniquely combining software and hardware to build computational thinking and engineering logic. More engaging and hands-on than traditional school coding classes, perfect for beginners and intermediate students.

What is educational robotics?

Using intuitive drag-and-drop coding platforms (like Makeblock), students control sensors, motors and LED systems while completing exciting missions such as obstacle avoidance or line-following.

Beginner level

  • Assemble and control basic robot models
  • Programming logic through visual block coding
  • Use sensors, motors and simple conditions (if-then)
  • Challenges: robot racing, light following, maze escape

Intermediate level

  • Multi-sensor robotics challenges and inputs
  • Looping, decision making and multistep functions
  • Missions: colour sorting, battle bots, programmable routines
  • Preparation for MakeX and other robotics competitions
2D platform game design
Ages 6–12

2D Game Design Program

LevelBeginner to intermediate
FormatBrowser-based project learning
IncludedGame platform access in class
Student outcomeA playable 2D game

A signature course designed to spark creativity while building real-world coding and digital design skills. Students use a professional, browser-based 2D game engine to create their own side-scrolling platform games — similar to Super Mario — without downloading software.

Beginner level

  • Design 2D characters, maps and obstacles
  • Event-driven programming ("if player touches trap → Game Over")
  • Basic coding: input, movement, collision, scoring
  • Build platformer levels with coins, checkpoints and traps
  • Playtest and share games with peers and family

Intermediate level

  • Multi-level games with menus and game states
  • Variables, timers, conditional logic and sound design
  • Win/lose conditions, animated characters and visual effects
  • Debugging, optimisation and peer review presentations
